The great E Bay expirement with 1 of 1 Alex Rodriguez card

A few years back I pulled an Alex Rodriguez artist's sketch card that was hand drawn by a Topps baseball card artist. The card depicts Rodriguez's 500th Home Run and is one of the few I have seen listed that has any color. I tucked it away and recently decided that I would try to see what it was worth. It figured it might shave a bit off my daughter's college tuition. I went to the East Coast National Card Show at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY and the opinions I got about the card varied widely. Some thought it was a rare beauty and worth a few hundred dollars at the least. Others, perhaps thinking I might opt to sell it to them, said it might be a $50 card at best. So....I put it on E Bay the other day to see what happens. The problem with a card like this is, you hate to find out later that it was indeed a desired card and that you could have maximized her tuition money!! Well see how the auction goes and I'll report back to you.
